The Office of the Director of Corporate Services has responsibility for a number of aspects of the University:

• Campus Services: building maintenance, grounds and landscaping and other campus services
• Campus Planning & Development: development of the physical infrastructure on both the south and north campus. This includes the maintenance of the many fine older buildings to be found on the south campus as well as the development of new modern University facilities. The implementation of the Campus Development Plan, capital works projects, infrastructure and traffic management
• Health and Safety: implementation of best practice standards on campus for students, staff and visitors
• Security: protection of personnel and property on campus
• Governance: the Director of Corporate Services also holds the role of Secretary to the Governing Authority, and is responsible for the governance affairs of the University. The office also provides administrative support to the Governing Authority, its committees and sub-committees
• Communications and Marketing: ensuring that the various images of the University are communicated effectively, both internally and externally
• Alumni: maintaining regular contact with our former students
